The starting point
Pastor Ben had recently stepped into the lead pastor role at City Hill Church and knew it was time for a fresh take on the church’s visual identity. Their existing mark had been around for years, but the team felt it was not as recognizable in the community.
The discovery
Throughout the discovery process, hill imagery emerged as an essential connection to the church’s culture and vision.
The direction
I wanted to avoid a mark that resembled the many hill and mountain logos already out there. We landed on an abstract, geometric hill, giving City Hill a distinctive silhouette rooted in its own story.
